Our story

        People always ask us, “why did you move down here?” Sometimes I laugh and think to myself you haven’t spent much time in Kent, WA huh? Of course, there’s a joke about the rain and weather that follows. Because it’s true, the weather in San Diego is MUCH better than the rain, clouds, and cold of Seattle. No offense to anyone who loves that, it just was not for us (esp. myself, a Southern California native). But more than the exchange of rain for sunshine, we felt we had a duty to bring what we had learned during our time in WA to this community in San Diego.

        In Washington, we worked together as associates at Lake Meridian Chiropractic (LMC), a clinic in Kent, WA. It was at this clinic that we learned of Atlas Orthogonal, a specialty of chiropractic and one of the latest advancements of the chiropractic profession. Dr. Kathireson and I both came from different backgrounds in chiropractic but when we saw the number of transformative changes the patients experienced in that office, we knew we needed to dive into Atlas Orthogonal. Luckily, we had a great mentor who took us under her wing for over three years.

        LMC was busy – we each saw between 35-50 patients per day. This was incredibly challenging but also allowed us to experience thousands of patient interactions that I knew would not have been possible in most clinics. We were seeing patients with complex migraines, Meniere’s disease, tremors, radiculopathy conditions, chronic pain, and disc issues. Not only were we treating these patients, but we were getting them better. With lasting results.

        We decided to become Board Certified in Atlas Orthogonal. The certification process took place over the course of a year at the Sweat Institute of Atlas Orthogonality in Atlanta, Georgia. We had the honor to be in the final class that Dr. Roy Sweat, the founder of Atlas Orthogonal, taught. It was truly amazing to see a 92 year old man teaching his passion and still adjusting patients!

        This passion inspired us to start over in a new city that does not have an AO doctor. San Diego is an amazing city filled with so many people who need this treatment. We want to help you be free of the pain that’s holding you back from living your life. Whether it’s performing better at work, doing that hike you’ve always wanted to do, picking up your children/grandchildren, or returning to your passion as an artist, we want to help you get there.
