What to expect

The New Patient Process

Our new patient process is divided into two days – history and examination are done on the first day and your first adjustment is done on the second day.

At Anatomy Chiropractic, a San Diego Chiropractor clinic, we understand that everyone’s body is unique. During our Board Certification courses for Atlas Orthogonal, we looked at hundreds of dried human bones and saw that no two bones were alike. That is why we believe every patient’s treatment should be created based on their unique anatomy. In order to do this, we have a thorough new patient process:

Day 1 - History and Exam

We will take a detailed history of your conditions and do an extensive initial examination to understand your unique case. Appropriate x-rays will be taken to give us more information about potential causes of your condition.

The x-rays we take are specific to Atlas Orthogonal and allow us to:

1. See the condition and shapes of your bones.

2. Measure the exact angles of your misalignment.

3. Create a plan of how we will correct your misalignment so you can start living a better tomorrow.

Day 2 - First Adjustment

Your first adjustment day!

We will also show you your x-rays, discuss any important findings, and go over the plan of care for you. After your first adjustment you will be given time to rest before we take post-adjustment x-rays.

Post-adjustment x-rays are only done after the initial treatment. These x-rays allow us to verify the correction that was made. They also give us more information about how your spine moves and to determine what is next for your care.

*These first two appointments are the longest appointments – about an hour each. After the new patient process, each visit will be about 10-15mins.
